Eileen C. (Vahrenberg) Spreckelmeyer

May 20, 1931 ~ June 30, 2018 (age 87)

Eileen C. Spreckelmeyer, 87, of Washington, passed away on June 30, 2018 in Washington. Mrs. Spreckelmeyer, daughter of the late Fritz Vahrenberg and Emma NEE Krueger, was born May 20, 1931 in Morrison, MO. She received her education from Chamois High School. On May 19, 1956, she was united in marriage to Alfred Spreckelmeyer at St. Francis Borgia Parish. Eileen enjoyed quilting, knitting, going to garage sales, and playing cards. She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; Parents-in-law, Frederick and Theodora Spreckelmeyer;  brother, Earl Vahrenberg; two sisters, Ruby Harshaw and Lucille Whertvine and two sisters-in-law, Joan Voss and Ann Spreckelmeyer.
Among her survivors are her loving husband, Alfred Spreckelmeyer of Washington; six children, Donna Buchholz and husband Alvie of Washington, David Spreckelmeyer and wife Mary of Washington, Kevin Spreckelmeyer of Washington, Linda Shelton and husband Andrew of Washington, Paul Spreckelmeyer of Washington, and Jill Schuler and husband Larry of Washington; brother, Emil Vahrenberg of Jefferson City; fifteen grandchildren, Wendy Wisdom and Joshua Buchholz, Kristy Ziegelmeyer, Scott Spreckelmeyer, Jamie Spreckelmeyer, Ashley Spreckelmeyer, Kelsey Spreckelmeyer, Dakota Spreckelmeyer, Amanda Barron, Jeremy Shelton, Jena, Owen, and Ryan Spreckelmeyer, Jacob Schuler, and Justin Schuler; twelve great-grandchildren; Sisters-in-law, Vivian Vahrenberg, Lois Ziegerer; brother-in-law, Norbert Voss; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Church, with interment in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home. Memorial Donations to the St. Francis Borgia Church Building Fund or Mercy Hospice are preferred.
